Welcome to Jurassic Park

Blue Valley Ranch is in quest of Colorado environmental regulators’ permission to inject the Blue River with phosphorus, a chemical regulated as a pollutant, on an eight-mile stretch of the river that locals check with as Jurassic Park.
The concept in the back of the project is that the river’s lack of phosphorus can be combating the growth of periphyton, an algae eaten by means of aquatic bugs that biologists say are “sparse” within the river.
