Justice branch sues over Puyallup River pollutants

The Justice branch has filed a civil go well with towards the house owners of the Electron Hydroelectric project for violating the clean Water Act by using polluting the Puyallup River.
On July 29, 2020, Electron Hydro, the business owning the dam operated by PSE, polluted over forty miles of the Puyallup River with black crumb rubber debris. The debris was released via an unpermitted improvised use of 2nd-hand artificial turf, which had happened to be kept within the enviornment, in building actions around the dam. The turf broke free from the liner and turned into washed into the river. This resulted in a large fish kill and threatens the upcoming salmon spawning season. Authorities are nevertheless doubtful of how to rectify the pollution harm.
